PORTFOLIO > OUR TRIP TO ITALY WITH RICK STEVES

The next day was a busy one, in the morning touring the St. Peter-in-Chains Church, where we viewed Michelangelo's statue of Moses.

San Pietro in Vincoli (Saint Peter in Chains) is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica in Rome, a short distance from the Colosseum. The name alludes to the Biblical story of the Liberation of Peter.

Notable were the protrusions coming from Moses' head, which in actuality depict sun rays but have been seen by some as horns, leading to all sorts of misinterpretations concerning Jews.
