CONTEST WINNER OF EMBRACING OUR DIFFERENCES Art Contest in Sarasota, 2020
I was selected as one of the winners of the annual Embracing Our Differences art contest in Sarasota, Florida. The response to the call for art yielded 11,791 entries from 111 countries and 44 states.
My entry, Blowing Bubbles Together, depicts my husband and our son, whom we adopted from Korea, playing with bubbles.
The Embracing Our Differences annual outdoor exhibit is at the heart of a year-round program of activities designed to use art as a catalyst to create awareness and promote diversity.
The exhibit is on display in Bayfront Park in Sarasota from January 18 through April 30, 2020.
CONTEST WINNER - A PLACE TO CALL HOME
In March of 2020, I was one of the local photographers in Cincinnati winning the photo contest, "A Place to Call Home -- Capturing Our Community."
The image was to shine a light on the cultural uniqueness of Cincinnati neighborhoods and communities.
Sponsored by People Working Cooperatively, the photos will be exhibited and auctioned at PWC's ToolBelt Ball (date, TBA).
